WELCOME!!

Thank you for visiting our website

If you are running or thinking about starting a home based programme, then this site is definitely for you. It would also interest families wanting to know what they can do at home to help their child, generally, or in a specific area of difficulty. This may be to either supplement what is happening at school or alternatively to try alternative approaches when what is on offer does not seem to work.

You may be looking for help in just one specific area of challenge or difficulty? Perhaps you are seeking to establish the viability of teaching your child at home and looking for a place to start? Maybe you have been running a home programme for some time and are looking for the next step or enhancement? Possibly you are one of the growing army of parents who would like to persuade their education authority to fund them and know how to best go about it?

Questions requiring answers can be diverse, from fundamental to precise and may include. -

How do I teach my child to communicate and talk? How do I create a family life style that is peaceful and harmonious? How do I get him to look at me and be interested in our world? How do I help him control his challenging behaviour? We seem to be stuck for ideas and direction as to what we do next? How do I keep the people in my son's programme and how do I train them more effectively? Can you check our programme to see where we can make it more powerful?.…

How do I go about convincing my LEA to financially support us? We need to prepare a case for SEN Tribunal, how do I make it powerful? Will you prepare and write our evidence for Tribunal and guide us through it? Can you help us to keep our funding and deal with annual reviews etc.?

With over ten years experience of running a Son-Rise / home educational programme, for our son, who had severe autism, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience we want to share that could help save you time and money and even sleepless nights!
